Steps to Operate a Child Nutrition Program

IMPORTANT: Family Day Care º£½ÇÉçÇø Providers do not have to complete this step. Please refer to the Child and Adult Care Food Program dropdown, below.

3. Complete the . Use this checklist to ensure you have all documents ready to complete the questionnaire. Information entered in an unsubmitted or incomplete survey will be lost.
4. Attend a Prospective Sponsor Orientation to learn about the requirements and benefits of operating the Child and Adult Care Food Program. Orientations are held throughout the state between September and June. Orientation Locations & Dates 
5. Once you have been approved to operate a Child Nutrition Program you will be required to enter into a Permanent Agreement with º£½ÇÉçÇø. For contents of the Permanent Agreement, please review the Sample Permanent Agreement - English | Spanish

Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)

New Sponsor Questionnaires submitted between July 1¨C September 1, each year are on hold to allow for current Sponsor application renewal. If your organization submits a questionnaire during this timeframe, a specialist will contact you in early September. Use the New Sponsor Application Flowchart to visualize the New Sponsor process.

Family Day Care º£½ÇÉçÇøs 

If you provide care for children from your house, you could be eligible to receive reimbursements for meals you serve! Family Day Care º£½ÇÉçÇøs (FDCH) is an organized nonresidential child care program for children, generally 12 years of age or younger, operated in a private home, and licensed or approved to provide care. In order to participate in CACFP, FDCHs must enter into an agreement with a sponsoring organization

If you're a FDCH provider, start by contacting a sponsoring organization that services your county.
