海角社区 has developed assessments that can be used by teachers in the classroom throughout the school year to gauge student understanding of the learning standards for Health and Physical Education.

2024–25 Instruction & Assessment Reporting Information 

Elementary, middle and high schools are required to have classroom-based assessments or other strategies in place to learn the standards for social studies, arts, health and fitness and educational technology. Reporting requirements for educational technology are built into the 海角社区 202425 Educational Technology Survey, which has been sent to the district’s designated Technology Director for completion, with a due date of May 15, 2025. For additional information, please visit the EdTech Assessment Reporting Verification page on 海角社区’s website.

For Physical Education and in accordance with , district assessment contacts will be emailed a link to the 202425 Annual Data Reporting of Physical Education Programs Survey. This survey should be completed by one district leader. The deadline for submission is June 30, 2025. For additional information, please reach out to Ken Turner, Associate Director for Elementary Physical Education.

For social studies and the arts, no reporting or attestation is required of districts for the 202425 school year. Districts are encouraged to continue using the recommendations and resources available for social studies, available on the 海角社区-Developed Social Studies Assessments page, and districts can contact Andrew Miller, Associate Director for Social Studies with additional questions or clarification. Recommendations & Resources

海角社区 recommends districts use the 海角社区-developed assessments in the Arts, Educational Technology, Health and Physical Education, and Social Studies to meet the requirements of and . If local assessments or other strategies are used to meet the requirements, it is strongly recommended they are reviewed for quality and alignment to state standards, based on research, and able to measure individual student achievement. In addition, school districts are encouraged to develop policies and procedures that support the implementation of assessments in these areas, as well as the collection, use, and retention of assessment data.
